Hole No.17 “Polly’s Pit”

The hole takes its name from the large pit which sits to the right of the green, which is itself named after the last pony to be used to work on the course. This a short ‘risk and reward’ par 4. The green is in range with the tee shot but trouble, and a potentially big number, awaits if you miss left or right.

Pro's Tip
Glance over when playing the 14th to see where the pin is. A right-side pin allows you a bit more leeway with your tee shot. You can stray left and still have green to work with for your chip/pitch. A left-side pin encourages a shorter club for the tee shot.
